Halloween Pet Costume Contest – Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility

  • Open to legal residents of the United who are at least 18 years old

  • Only pets owned or lawfully cared for by the entrant may be entered

  • Limit: one entry per pet.

2. Entry Requirements

  • Each entry requires a non-refundable donation to Save My Fur Baby, Inc. (a Florida not-for-profit organization, EIN 88-3693697).

  • Entrants must submit an original photo or video of their pet in costume.

  • Costumes must be safe, non-harmful, and appropriate for community viewing.

3. Photo & Video Submissions

  • By submitting a photo or video, you confirm that you are the lawful owner of the content or have full rights to submit it.

  • Content must feature only your pet(s) and not infringe on any third-party rights.

  • You grant Save My Fur Baby, Inc. a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display your submission for contest administration, promotion, and nonprofit fundraising purposes.

  • Submissions that are offensive, unsafe, or inconsistent with our mission may be disqualified at Save My Fur Baby’s sole discretion.

4. Contest Period & Mechanics

  • Entries will be accepted from 10/20/2025 through 11/05/2025.

  • Winners will be selected and announced on 11/07/2025.

  • Judges’ and organizers’ decisions are final.

5. Judging Criteria

  • This is a skill-based contest, not a sweepstakes or lottery.

  • Entries will be evaluated by judges based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity – originality and imagination of the costume (40%)

  • Presentation – quality of the photo/video and overall theme (30%)

  • Pet Safety & Comfort – costume suitability and animal welfare (30%)

  • Scores will be combined to determine winners. In the event of a tie, the entry with the highest Pet Safety & Comfort score will win.

6. Prizes

  • Prizes (if any) will be described in advance.

  • No cash or prize substitutions are permitted except at Save My Fur Baby’s discretion.

  • Winners are responsible for any taxes associated with receipt of a prize.

7. Publicity Release

  • By entering, you grant Save My Fur Baby, Inc. permission to use your name, your pet’s name, entry photo/video, and likeness in promotional materials, including online, social media, and print, without compensation.

8. Liability Waiver

  • Entrants are solely responsible for ensuring costumes are safe and do not harm pets or others. Save My Fur Baby, Inc. is not responsible for injury, illness, property damage, or technical issues arising from participation.

9. Donations

  • All entry fees are treated as charitable donations to Save My Fur Baby, Inc. Donations are non-refundable and do not guarantee selection as a winner.

10. Privacy

  • Personal information collected during this contest will be used only for contest administration and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Marketing Consent

  • By checking the box, you explicitly agree to receive marketing emails from Save My Fur Baby, including contest updates, winner announcements, and promotional offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails.

12. Governing Law

  • This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

  • Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida.
